>>29169417Fictional creatures are cooler. Dinosaurs are good reference material but cryptids are more interesting imo. I highly recommend Animals Real and Imagined and Creating Imaginary Animals by Terryl Whitlatch, great books although they focus a bit too heavily on stylization in some parts.
