It might just be a coincidence, especially when taking into account that there are likely other forms of chuubanite that also have a similar effect, as nature-based vtubers aren't exactly rare.
I should also note that /meat/ Risuners didn't replicate /risu/ magic gems. They just happen to discover a new way to use chuubanite while trying to do so.
