Well, the thing is, the argument of unicorns, and gachikois into a lower level makes perfect sense even outside of vtubing, I still don't understand how normie faggots say that collabing with males does not make a difference in streaming if they are both male or female, Humans are a highly social species, who had thrived best with locked, monogamous, straight relationships, Im not fucking quoting pol on this, but it's just simple biology, and if you put into factor living into close communities, "shipping" has been the norm, couples and individuals among human communities look for the most balanced "couples" between themselves, before all the revisionism & feminism bullshit most relationships where socially conducted by famillies who married their sons/daughters with something to gain in mind even into their respectives communities with the same purpose. My point into this, even if the social norms haved changed, even if our communities have enlarged and dispersed between reality and the digital world, those "shipping" instinct are intact, it's just that now are added into the social need called "gossip" without a further purpose,for this biological and social standpoint and almost as an imperative need, we can't watch people into any social interaction without trying to look for potencial relationships, and if, those individual seem compatible (which is usually fucking imprecise because participants and spectators in the internet usually overcompensate on how they interact to acomodate to the lack of a physical level of interaction, at most people just try to look more approachable and social, than they ussually are, which is norm into streaming) people push those individuals constantly into forming relationships.
My case is, just for putting 2 people collabing together, ships will arise, and unicorns will seethe, and, if most of your earnings come from this socially deranged people like that, it makes perfect sence to pander to them instead on normies, who will undoubtedly fuck with the relationship dinamics of the stream/streamers, and of course pushing back against unicorns/gachikois into this subjects because of a social need, not for the well being of the participants.
