>>32057209>most are very casual clip watchersThat's just a thing for everything you can think of. Everyone is a casual consumer of something, since we can't actually dedicate ourselves to everything that we like. For those things that we do dedicate our energy, time, and money to, those we call our hobbies.
I think that's why Hololive is hesitant about opening more branches, they know the actual numbers of people that are dedicated enough, that watch (almost) every stream, that are members and watch the members streams, send SC's, buy merch, etc.
Not to say that casual viewers aren't important, since they're the kind of people that cons like Popcon think about when inviting vtubers. A casual viewers can be a casual consumer, and will go to cons, buy products inside the con, invite their friends and spread the word. They also share and spread the word about the chuubas, which eventually attracts other people that will eventually make it their hobby.
Still, they're casual viewers, which doesn't always translate to money, and $ is what matters to a corporation.Anyway, numberfag/hobbyism autism aside, thanks for all the info you've been giving us! It was fun to see your perspective about the event these past few days.
Also, what a shame that you didn't find anyone else watching the premiere. Imagine how amazing it would've been to watch it with a group of KRbrats at the same time.
