If you're asking about Suisei's fanbase, I guess it's largely due to her doing her best to keep her old fans as much as possible. To not alienate them into thinking "She's different now because so and so..."
She wants to make sure that things are the same as always, hence her huge reluctance on changing her voice even at the cost of her health and vocal chords. Of course, people supported her anyway. She chose to keep her name and general design instead of just being reincarnated into another form because she owes it all to the 3k fans and subscribers that she had at the time to keep going
