Real answer her parents abandoned her when she was a child so she was raised by her aunt.
As an adult she went to university in Canada and stayed in contact with her parents through phone. They probably thought she'd financially support them when she finally graduated and got a good job like most 3rd worlder parents. When she dropped out and/or failed to get a good job they cut contact with her again because they just wanted money and she's poor.
If they ever find out she's a successful vtuber they'll probably try to insert themselves into her life again.
