Subaru had kinda thought that Gen 2 would always be going their own way individually, but Aqua's initiative and her return to streaming are what made her also inspired to try and push for Gen 2 unity and more exodia stuff.
I think it was a double whammy for Subaru because it was like being given hope where there was nothing and then having it being taken away. Not really Aqua's fault either since it's Subaru who had expectations and got motivated by herself and then got sad by herself.
