I get why Fil continues to use it because it's a nice yet simplistic model and also a hugely important thing is it doesn't clip or spaz around everywhere as much as a lot of vtuber models people import to VRChat.
Nothing to be done about it now but Filian really should have just paid for the rights to be "Filian" (default Rindo with white hair and slightly smaller ears) before she started getting merch deals because I bet this (Korean?) VR avatar modeler is barely making a living and passing up on big money because of Filian's fame wouldn't make any sense, even if it's shameless.
I could see Filian getting a different model and while it'd be cool if it was just "legally distinct Filian" like what they did with Neuro, I get the impression she might want something totally different.
Ultimately Filian would be okay and snackers like her for who she is (hence why she can put on a random Goku, Drake or coomer Vaporeon avatar and people still like it) but I bet at this point in the year she's all locked in on the next VTuber Awards and I'm not sure if rebranding right before that happens is a good idea or not.
