It's not hard to understand. Private orgs will tell you what you want to hear while a GOVT will outright tell you as you scream distrust at them. Sure they fudge illegals numbers and target mentally unwell peoples for their own benefit but they don't lie about murders/demographics/diseases etc. numbers they actually do have on hand.
