There's a few artists who are attempting to bring back 90s era country but mainstream country is just pop, not really rap. There was a rap country boom in the early 2010s with artists like Jason Aldean but it never really caught on unfortunately.
Country pop on the other hand has been increasing in size since Carrie Underwood imo. But really exploded with bands like Florida Georgia Line.
Personally, I'm somewhat fond of Jelly Roll but I'm not entirely sure why he's classified as country.
My favorite country artist is and always will be Garth Brooks tho
