Streaming on its own whether it's the prepwork, kayfabe, executing etc should be fun as it is, but it'll get boring after a while much like getting burnt out from doing anything else repeatedly without any new results. With streaming though, one of the ways to get "results" is to get better number, which feels very nebulous compared to other hobbies, but that's the nature of a "hobby" which the entire point is putting yourself out there. It's essentially about advertising yourself, and not everyone has the gusto for it one way or another. "It feels shamful to do" or "I'm not very good at socializing" etc. Unfortunately nobody ever won by sitting on their ass, and these types of people rarely feel like their streams have something noteworthy to advertise in the first place, "I'm just a worse version of others" or "I'm not smart enough to do something interesting" etc etc
At the same time though, some of these people will cope by saying shit like "All these other people are just taking the easy way when they do X!"
Are YOU actually doing anything? Do you have that shred of ambition and the juices to actually see things through to the end? Or are you just trying to find a way to relax while you watch your "friends" make it further and further by actually doing things and become envious either way?
