Something that doesn't get brought up enough in branch averages is new additions and stream frequencies. Makes it less useful unless you're just using it to show undeniable incline like HoloID.
NijiEN is definitely going to "decline" this month because they just debuted 6 new people and most of them are 1-2k shitters and will drag down the average. They stream a lot too which hurts more than if they were all Sanas and barely streamed. If Luxiem getting dragged down by Reimu and Nina wasn't enough, now they have 3 more that are in that tier.
The majority of NijiEN are getting what they usually get (don't think there's much incline except for Enna and some of the top Luxiems declined a bit), but it's going to show a big decline on the graph and idk if it really counts as decline just because they added shitters.
On the other hand, HoloEN just shed Sana, their weakest member by far, so their average would just go up as long as everyone kept their regular numbers. It'll probably be counteracted by Gura streaming so infrequently this month tho. Does losing the weakest member really count as incline?
Add to that buff seasons like off-collab seasons, anniversary months...etc and there's so many rises and dips in the graph that aren't actual inclines/declines.
