There are several things however:
1- Dont forget to use the items, particularly candy for damage, some people get bored because the mob fights get too long and are too frequent
2- Upgrade your clothes constantly: you can put them in with special threads that boost your damage. I recommend just sticking with the blanka outfit until late game, it just has to be upgraded once.
3- Do not neglect the skill tree. Don't let levels build up
4- Constantly buy XP food, both for masters and regular this will save you time and make the game less frustrating. Best one is in France.
5- Have a command grab ready. Later on the CPU cheats like hell reading imputs for the "hard fights". Gief SPD is the optimal one but Manons works well and its easier . After end game, JP embrace reigns supreme.
6- A personal trick: if I needed to practice combo I practiced it in world tour against the guy at the feet of Haggars statue, that way I get free xp for my regular training and you can challenge him infinite times. You can farm him pretty much until end game (40 lvl ish)
