It's great to feel bad/have empathy for other people when they're in a worse situation but you can still acknowledge when shit is going bad for you. Ignoring or minimizing it because people who can't put on your shoes any more than you can put on theirs doesn't solve anything, hell it might fester and get worse depending on what it is. Probably obvious, and easier said than done, but this is why a support net where you're based is important. Friends and other relationships over a distance are grand but they can only do so much when shit hits the fan, even when they want to.
