>>56542278It’s because they use AD&D/2.5Eish mechanics like THAC0 and stat rolls instead of pointbuy. PB is what all serious tables use for character building, random stats seems fun at first but ultimately just becomes detrimental to building good characters mechanically. Rolls are worse for video games too, because you’re just going to spend more time savescumming encounters. On top of that NWN/NWN2 onwards uses 3.5e and PF is a branch of 3.5e which is where WotC mastered character classes and racial tie ins, etc
