>AstelHyperactive karaoke and apex addict with imposter syndrome, nowhere related to his bio.
>3rd genAll of them dropped their acts with the exception of Pekora (who has started to do so earlier this year) after their 1st anniversary.
>AmeBri'sh accent wasn't cutting it so she dropped it immediately after debut. the whole time traveler lore gig wasn't originally intended but she went on with it regardless since it worked wonders for her to stay afloat, along with her devotion to always reinvent herself that is.
>NeneSimilar case as with Ame regarding accent and lore (though in Nene's case she had to go under a redesign).
But this is besides the point that matters to OP.
>>7928184I personally don't mind it much if the person behind the avatar doesn't want to stick to his/her role forever, at some point it's meant to break. Problem would rise however if the person behind the avatar would take advantage of it.
For instance, picture a Vtuber who's portrayed in her bio/lore as a homeless person, a sexy hobo at it, whatever, she makes a ton of money on SCs with this motto, and at one point she breaks her acting by mentioning traits that are exclusive to wealthy men, or anything in particular regarding with the rich, she gets called out as a fraud everywhere and breaks her character admitting not being a hobo as a result.
Who would you react to it? I'd be pissed if I threw money at her.
