>>27949446That's because women don't have standards for what they want, they're happy with whatever new thing some company tries to shill them because they think that "supporting" doesn't entail expecting more from what they support. They make "being a fan" their whole identity because for you being a fan is a social activity first and a genuine interest second, the "more support" you show for your oshi or your favorite franchise the more attention you get from your peers, and, possibly, it means more new cheap merch to keep on feeding the loop, that's also why most of the merch directed at women are things that you can wear or show to other people. It's sad actually, I don't really mind girls liking girl things, that's just how the world is, but this whole "more is better" mentality that girls think "showing support" means only harms both the industry and the overall quality of the stuff we get, just look at the absolute state of Nijisanji Merch and compare it to, say, Hololive (no I'm not a Holofag, don't start with that shit instead of addressing my points). Males buy artbooks with production commentary, collector editions, high quality figures and plastic models, yeah sometimes we buy cheap stuff but not near as much as females and it's basically a curiosity or just a small thing for our collection, what do females buy? 40 of the same badges and keychains to make itabags to show to their fujo friends, cheap cups so eveyone knows they like anime boys, mass produced shit with 0 meaning or merit but is ultra cheap to produce and sell a fuckton. It's a no brainer for companies to pander to females for the merch market, but that diminishes the overall quality of everyone's products. When females try to make us males look like we don't support our oshis or our favorite franchises they always say the same stuff, the thing is, we have standards, most of us will not buy 10 keychains for the same reasons we don't stream or farm views for the newest song of our oshi, because we actually expect some quality, we don't want to exploit the system just for some record that, because of the means used to get it, doesn't mean shit, or for some acrylic stands that took $2 to make and they sell you for $30 when they could be making actually high quality stuff. Have some respect for you and for the shit that you like
