Hello, yes, Liaschizo here. I think most of all Lia’s performance hinges on that inscrutable cusp of adulthood. Lia allows me some small allowance that she might prod me to interpret her art and while I should only be so happy to receive any sort of acknowledgement from Her, the forever nineteeen year old seiso idol, I can’t help but find myself remiss for not providing a more tangible benefit to her act. The venture back into this weeks performance, the Dizzying height, spiked by her absence only makes me reflect on her past collabos. The ever shifting mass of mailable “attention” that comes with the constant shuffling and off shedding of viewers between talents. The composed contrast of Lia’s performance can only be appreciated in the trespass of forgoing her “Only Lia” plea. I travel upon forbidden lands to say that Rie’s own mother served as some complimentary point to the raw prowess of Rinmama, the stilted, perhaps to the intended audience relatable, gaps and stifled contributions of Himemama, while a titillating and captivating performance for the Bitos, was only arranged in Lia’s absence as a palette enhanced for the triumphant return of Rinmama. I don’t have nor a need to describe the majesty of Rinmama’s interaction with her daughter and the simple powerhouse of presentation their combined efforts. But it makes me reflect more broadly on Lia’s other collabos, and more importantly the way the she has maneuvered herself to utilize them in a way to highlight her own qualities and charm points. I still find the most stimulating of these points to be Pippa’s adoption of the Nyaru interview, the subtle contrast of unspoken qualities of Lia demonstrated most clearly with the outpouring of /here/ contextualization that demonstrates the vast divide betwwwn the two talents. Lia’s own background coinciding so heavily while the execution created that vast gulf really demonstrated to me the way in which Lia composes her collaborations and in the transgressionary consideration of other talents serves to deepen the want, may need, for Lia. The short series of Nova content, in all of Lia’s “play nice” permission with her new found friend is only structured in a way that serves to highlight aspects of Lia that the other forgoes. The rough, tomboyish, more simple approach to the craft via an autistic hyperfixation at once demonstrated Lia’s own surpassing of the “meta” while at the same time crafting a consolatory understanding of the condition with how nicely she plays with her friend, in its own a patronizing concession of her “lowering” herself to the needs of her viewers. Dizzy’s collabo tonight played similar tropes in putting on point the vulgarity of Dizzy to the more veiled, hard earned revelations of Lia’s craft. Again in the “playing dumb” or permissibility towards her audiences own revelation of her intentions we see the subtle art of Lia’s craft. The tender way in which her denigration reaches the viewer in perfect plausible deniability continues to be her strongest suite, the hidden edge of her more bombastic “edgy content” contained within the overly broadcasted edgy content she engages with. If only I could consume the whole of Lia I might find some greater understanding of myself but for now I’ll sustain myself on her subtle acknowledgement and appreciate what she produces for us to consume. I like Lia~
