>saintsDo you have any saints you have a great devotion to? Its okay if you dont but you should look into some saints and find at least one you relate to. For me I wish to be like my King Saint Louis IX of France even though I fall severely short of his piety, I still strive to be like him and hold a tremendous devotion to him. God chooses us from all walks of life to be Saints for him, from Kings like St Louis IX to peasants like St Joan of Arc to show us that holiness is not limited to any station of life we are born to. We all equally have the capacity for holiness no matter where our birth dictates. St Joan of Arc might be my favorite Saint, God called her to expel the foreignors from France(the english) and at about 16 years of age she miraculously led the armies of France and successfully expelled the foreignors from her home. She was ultimately betrayed and then burned alive at the age of 19 by the english. Here is a brief clip from a film.
>St Joan of Arc confronts the English army - scene from The Messenger (1999) [HD]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8uFwwGvfBMShe had one of the most interesting lives of all time, she would be good for you to look up. One of my daughters will be named after her. She was named Jehanne but today she is referred to as "Jeanne" in French and "Joan" in English. My daughter will be named Jehanne. The clip is not fully historically accurate but it gets the message across of the miracle of a pious teenage maiden, born to nothing, would rise to lead an army of grown men to many victories at war. God is great indeed. We all have the capacity for greatness.
>Christmas cartoonsAround Christmas time I often get reminded of childhood memories, and I used to watch cartoons and I dont want to sound like a boomer but unironically cartoons were better back in the day. Intelligent writing was allowed, which is no longer the case today according to actual network guidelines. Anyway Im reminded of this clip from the xmen show. The background is that the blue guy is highly devout, and is kept hidden from the townspeople because they would fear him for his demonlike appearance. Later a priest snitches and tells the townspeople and they form a mob to kill him, but saves them from the destruction they caused and proves he is holy and they no longer fear him.
>X-MEN - When NightCrawler lead Wolverine to the Lordhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGNtQTrlflgLook at that writing, you would not get something like that today. I dont like superheroes or cartoons but I like that clip. Whats your favorite cartoon? Do you have a favorite moment from a cartoon? Anime is cartoons also and youre a weeb so maybe whats your favorite anime? I dont like or watch anime so I dont have experience on that front. I only know G Gundam and I had a few friends that liked naruto but thats about all I know. Do you like G Gundam? Theres a minor romance in there that later turns out to be the final boss. The main girl gets jealous that the main guy hits it off with the new swedish girl introduced in the 3rd act, so she becomes the final boss and tries to destroy the planet because her heart got broken. My memory isnt great but something like that happens.
>Pride and PrejudiceSo anyway I wanted to share a film with you its basically P&P set in modern times. They even named the male love interest Darcy and used the actual darcy actor from the 90s tv series we watched.
>Bridget Jones's Diaryhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYO6j_D8cg8Unfortunately the majority of women out there relate to Bridget, especially the drinking and singing scene. They never fail to tell me "that's so me". Apparently this film is quite popular amongst single women. I dont want that to be you Nerissa, I dont want you to say "that's so me" youre meant to be a wife and mother. Its tragic that so many women relate to Bridget. I cant save everyone, I can only save my future wife, and I only have eyes for my future wife. I wish I could save everyone but I cant. The solution is simple however, its posted on my "absolute monarchy" image I post alongside the clips ive made. That is the cure to the single women epidemic. Anyway lets wrap up my rambling. Have a goodnight, get better and Merry Christmas! Hohoho.
