>>45655807I'm not really a stan of china either so of course that is just speaking in terms of broad strokes while eliding a lot of nuance.
They of course are in a much better situation relatively speaking, but like anyone else they also have their own kinds of problems, the biggest one being the fact that Xi is an unironic maoist who keeps trying to resurrect the corpse of maoism. Deng was an ironic maoist who saved China and set it on the path to recovery it is on now because he allowed chinese people to have freehold and operate market economies (sometimes also known as 'capitalism'), while calling it 'socialism with chinese characteristics'.
The only major political entity in the world today that has solved the demographic problem is the taliban, because they solved the woman problem. That's also why they survived two decades of globohomo sponsored chaos and then sprang up to kick the asses of the puppet regime which evaporated nigh instantly the moment the opportunity came, because no one who can fight wanted to fight and die for feminism and gay pride parades, and the ones who wanted feminism and gay pride parades couldn't fight. (The american empire's defeat there sent a subterranean shockwave across the world. On the surface its broadcast media give the impression that everything was still the same. But history will remember it as a moment where everything changed. The titan was definitively shown to have no legs after all, and that now exists in the back of everyone's minds.)
Everyone else, whether it's Xi or Orban or Putin or Modi, haven't managed this singularly important element either. They might be more realistic, more patriotic, comparatively far better statesmen than any of their nominal counterparts in the GAE, but they too are also orphaned children of modernity, born into societies haunted by the specters of the 16th century 'enlightenment'. They lack a unifying faith like the talichads that supervenes the demonic faith of their globohomo enemies.
Xi can dimly sense the fact that tentacles of the american empire are always trying to ideologically subvert china and replace its mindshare with their own, and that to fight against that you need an official faith of your own to close the vacuum (aka, memetic sovereignty). His problem is that he is trying to use maoism as that faith, which is itself also a product of modernity and comes with its own significant problems. He should be going further back in history to unearth adaptive chinese social technology. The mandate of heaven awaits.
As long as the GAE still exists as a dominant power - as short as that may be given present trends - it is unlikely that any of these other powers will spontaneously be able to instantiate greater coherence with Divine Law in their countries without significant conflict; but since the GAE is the driving force behind spreading and enforcing that conflict in the first place, it's the sort of thing that all starts happening rapidly the moment the pressure comes off anyways. It takes uncommonly heroic men of cunning virtue and prophetic wisdom to succeed at implementing civilization at the same time of opposition from a live demonic faith.
