The purpose was also coining a tag that others MIGHT pick up to clarify discussions and to rush to give the controversy a name. The last time the entire vtuber community was talking about indie merch, it was Filian. This time it's Gumpai. It's not a personal thing and I don't have anything against Gumpai. I tried to cover people who agreed with her too, which I think Cody represented well with his statement.
