I would know because most of my own friend group stumbled across Hololive independently and they are turbo as fuck normies. They all have oshis, even if they don't know what that means. They member. A few of them even buy merch. And despite this they universally loathe the idol crap because it's simply not for them. They can rationalize watching a cute girl doing cute things while playing video games but the rest of it's a bridge too far.
