I believe it is quite clear, since she never even saw herself staying longer than a year, and is more comfortable being the one behind the scenes.
The way she's doing it is in character for her, as well, didn't want it long and drawn out, just wants it to get it over with, which is still shitty to the fans, but it's in her own self interest.
