I've noticed that hardcore fan groups have tended to make some of the better posters in these threads (MonHun, Nier, Hollow Knight, LobCorp and Undertale streams being the standout examples, with DMC posters having reigned for months at a time). But the games that always seem to attract /v/ermin to them (Source Engine Games) have been a mixed bag, with some great content from Half-Life and TF|2 posters, but lots of spergouts as well.
Understanding that /v/ doesn't play video games, this is starting to make perfect sense. It's just like people who don't read the manga in /a/ threads trying to talk about the story of a manga from anime adaptations only.
