On the extreme opposite side however, we have the so called borderline-pathological parasocial relationship, which happens when the subject crosses the line between what it's real and what it's not. Needless to say it's very bad, and despite being an infinitesimal number of cases, it's so bad that surrogates the whole definition of parasocial, and promotes derailed discussions, like this one thread.
