>MEDIAN OF PEAKS, 2022, GLOBAL, TOP 50It's a "blast from the past" given how much the field changed both in the second semester of 2022, the fourth quarter of the same year and the first month of 2023.
Anyway, here it is
>pic relatedTen comments
1) Marine led the pack. Her appearances might have been rare but they were always impactful and she took #1 of 2022 with a 34.7k median
2) Nijisanji main channel came second, also with a 34k+ median. Even the (company wide) record setting numbers didn't help them take first place this year
3) Pekora, Aqua and Miko complete the top 5, all with a 25k+ median in the year. It is specially impressive for both Pekora and Miko due to almost 300 streams in the period.
4) Kuzuha, Subaru, Salome, Suisei and Holo main channel complete the top 10
5) Gura is the highest ranked non JP channel, coming just short of 20k and almost doubling the second place of the kaiga, trailing only the first army among Holo individual channels.
6) Twenty six channels finished the year over 10k
7) Out of the top 50 there were 31 Holo channels (6 EN, 1 ID), 17 Niji channels (2 EN), Gatchman representing Indies and Noripro's founder, star and namesake, Tamaki
8) Salome replaced Mito as the highest ranked girl on Nijisanji thanks to her unimaginable strong debut weeks
9) Mysta and Vox were the only NijiEN to feature in this list
and the punchline
10) The cutting point for the top 50 was 7.3k, a very high mark showing how strong a vtuber has to be to get close to the top.
Keeping a 7k+ median across hundreds of streams is a huge feature and the minimum cutting point a channel needs to be at the top
