>>30246501I did give some thought to how an extremely small terrorist cell might manage to survive past its formation long enough to grow into a real threat, and I figured the combination of potential access to knowledge from the future + the risk of pissing off the entire Ninisani Empire would be enough to make the most threatening parties hesitate. It's good to see that's already working as intended!
>>30247295Having this terrorist cell pick up informants and new members from other nations likely to have eco-extremists is very much something I want to have happen! I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself here with the massive story arcs since I have a lot to do before I can start writing about this, but man... I'm excited... I want to write about it now...
>>30248068They will definitely make an attempt to help fight the terrorists, but this would mostly happen in the form of information. The Lightning Republic would be thrown into turmoil by the initial bombing and theft of so much tech, and recovery will be hindered by the complete lack of real centralized government. They were scattered groups of insurgents back in their original timeline and their "republic" in the present is really just all the former rebel leaders yelling at each other about politics once a month. Their method of solving disagreements is trial by combat. Their idea of law enforcement is to have those who violate moral order assassinated in the dead of night. They are, in short, hilariously incompetent at anything other than combat. To make matters worse, they're violently overprotective of the other kingdoms in the Noctyx alliance, because though they have records about the people who worshipped their god's family members, in their original timeline these people were all dead. With a Stargazer having been taken hostage their overprotective paranoia will be kicked into overdrive, and they'll double down on security back at home before anything else.
