In fact, even the shorter oneshots can have an anon developing through the brief events more than some way longer first person stuff does. I'd also argue that when most writers here start a story, they present an idea of how their anon starts out to the reader. It doesn't go too deeply sometimes, but enough that it feels like an organic and unique (You).
