Almost a year ago, we tried ramping up traffic with letting in more EN discussions. The results were overall a fucking mess with its climax being the creation of the split, which is in a state no one here would wish upon our thread. JP fans are a rarity on this board, and most of them interested in asmr probably are already here or are at least lurking among us. Trying to recruit random EN fans isn't really viable either as our split is also demonstrating that exceptionally well. Even pre-/vt/ times had several incidents of why that wouldn't be a good idea.
With that in mind, what if we instead go back to our roots? What if we set up shop on /jp/?
Now, I'm not talking about moving there, but rather create a little spin-off of us over there. To give it some distinction to not have it booted back here, we could simply focus on 2.5D vtubers. It's adjacent enough to both our our and /jp/ culture, and would attract people which would be somewhat compatible to our culture, or rather least incompatible to us. The closest already existing general over there would be the general about the roommate of a certain knight, which mostly discusses her knightly and nightly activities, so to speak. The jav general would also be rather adjacent for obvious reasons, and from a quick glance they've managed to focus their discussions on their chosen topic instead of barely relevant things like our dearest split has somehow devolved to. Our spin-off would try to focus on discussions and discovery, so link posting would have to take a small step back in favor of image posting.
If successful, we could create a decent amount of cross-traffic which should make discussions a bit more lively in here, without attracting various other cancerous things /vt/ has managed to attract over the years. The downside of course would be possibly attracting whatever plagues /jp/ which I am not aware of.
