No matter how much they build up any character the moment they throw hands with (You) they insta-die, and most of the time the game implies you literally 1v1 them, like the "raid" aspect is only loosely nodded to here and there, the story is much better suited to a single-player game
(Modern wow is also guilty of this, early days of wow fully acknowledged your actions as the acts of many, but now you're just some nameless hero that solos everything too)
