>>6560901Why is it that every single time some knucklehead doesn't like some kind of art, they say it's not "real"? What's real to you exactly? Music isn't real. Nor is TV, movies, theater or any fiction book. That cool shirt you're wearing? Well it has no practical utility so why don't you buy a white shirt so you live in "reality". That thing you like eating? Well its good taste has no relation to how nutritious it is so the enjoyment you got out of it is "fake", someone tricked you. You shouldn't play sports while you're at it, since it's just running around in circles.
What does someone like you enjoy? Do you do things so you can keep yourself going or get something else so you can keep yourself going? Does your existence start and end at utility without having any higher sense of purpose or fulfillment? Are you an animal? A machine? What are you? Because I'm quite certain you're not a human. Humans understand the intrinsic value these types of things have. Real humans, that is, understand they themselves are the start and end of the world and exist for their own enjoyment. They come together to sing national anthems, or watch the game, or see and hear the Greats perform. No one is tricking them. They understand that everyone is playing along and agreed to be there.
A human being makes reality. Not the other way around.
