>>28516022People like this style of content because it's unpredictable, not because it's necessarily groundbreaking. When chuubas go off script it can lead to interesting or funny situations and when you're used to repetitive livestream content that kinda thing is refreshing.
>>28516154I agree most of these "schizo" streams aren't like technically impressive or anything, they're just messing with OBS lighting/assets or drawing on the screen. But it shows off their improv abilities and some chuubas are much better at thinking on their feet and being spontaneous(Pomu, Enna) than others(Shu...).
If more chuubas did this style of content people would have higher standards, but even changing things up mid-stream is rare enough that it's a novelty. Like when Pomu decides to ragequit whatever game she was playing and just boot up Minecraft her viewership goes up because no one knows what's gonna happen next when the typical stream format gets thrown out. It could be just another Minecraft stream or it could turn into her respected loner arc again and end up really funny.
Maybe in the end that's just highlighting how many people are insanely bored with the typical chuuba format and want literally anything different. Despite being a fan of a lot of chuubas gaming streams feel so samey and turn into background noise for me.
