I do agree with canon, it does get messy. Sana contradicted the lore of Council in her debut video, by saying that the universe started with the Big Bang (that wouldn't work because Nature couldn't have existed yet, and time has to for the big bang.)
Although, while I do agree that Prism no Mahou is non-canon (Advent are bloody high school students), they do have the gems, as shown by the Biboo transformation scene at :56, and by looking at the designs with your eyes. They just don't have the fancy design. That is technically only ornamentation, and is shared by Evil Biboo and Mind/Ascended Biboo.
