Viewership declined significantly after they hit 10k subs. They had one of their worst months viewership wise after Manga Gamer had decided to keep them around longer than they intended. If their viewership had been more consistent I think they wouldn't be graduating.

MG was clearly happy with their growth earlier this year, because Makoto said that they weren't even sure they would make it to her birthday. Their channel collapsed after hitting 10k subs. Subscriber growth wouldn't have been too much of an issue, but their views also collapsed. People just stopped watching.

When they hit 10k subs they seemed to be growing, so MangaGamer probably kept them around because they thought they would continue to grow. Right after they hit 10k subs the amount of new subscribers and their monthly video views dropped like a rock.
