Okay. VOD anon here. I was thinking about waiting till Friday to see what game is next but I felt it was alright to write something out since I’m sure over the days people are going to talk about Gura, EN and whatnot. I’ve seen comments over the past few days asking this, so I felt like giving it a shot with what I know.
>What is going on with Gura’s numbers?>Is she reclining?>Why are her VODs are only getting X amount? So, let me dive in here.
Since returning, I’ve noticed an extreme disparity between her current rate of likes (sign of tourism) compared to her streams pre-break. Now as explained some days ago, horror games tend to be hit or miss depending on which game you’re actually playing so it wasn’t -too- alarming, but after today I’ve noticed a huge drop off. And this also coincides with all 4 VODs beginning at a low point (likely to be something like 170-180k for Gundam, 220k-230k for all 3 horror games) which is atypical of Gura. Her unique chatters have dropped plenty as well, due to the lack of people coming into stream.
However, her VODs are all growing essentially the same as ever before. Playroom is now over 300k, both Madisons are working their way to 300k, old VODs are still gaining views. Also, as evidence here I can give you these:
https://playboard.co/en/video/5-hwTE_O8WYhttps://playboard.co/en/video/kJGsWORSg-4Her streams pre-break, which have been growing consistently ever since, meaning there’s still lots of traction coming into the CHANNEL.
If we also go further, her member stream, though still processing, hit relatively the same viewcount as her others had hours after streaming, and her member engagement is higher than ever. Her member posts are constantly hitting over 6.5k likes, some even going so high as 7-8k.
To add on to this, we saw how during her karaoke she managed to pull unbelievable numbers across the board metrically. So for content people are familiar with for her, those holo fans ARE there and will tune in.
One thing has stood out to me though, and maybe clip anon can verify this, but Gura’s viewership of clips seems to be sort of… deadwalling? They get their initial day of views then don’t grow much from there.
If my theory is correct, it’s not exactly that she’s reclined at all. In fact, nearly everything we’re familiar with of hers has stayed the same or inclined, OTHER than the metrics that denote how many tourists/casual fans are tuning in. What I’m beginning to believe is that somewhere during her elongated break, she was thrown out of the algorithm. This even matches up well with her last long break, when after Grim everyone began to notice her rate of production took a hit. It wasn’t until weeks/months later that this started heading back up to a positive direction.
I think for now, people should just wait and let her get back to streaming. These have been pretty poor game choices for fan engagement, so getting something to throw her back into the mix seems pretty needed.
