>>26786510>So first off, on the small topic of me quitting. For the foreseeable future I will not be participating in any sort of decision making for /nasa/. I will just write whatever I wanna write and leave it up to you whether you want to anchor it or not. I'm taking the advice of that one anon that said to "just write, niggers" and going back to what I enjoy, and what brought me here in the first place. Everything else is on you.
>starchild issue nowAs one anon above already said, the issue I had was you taking the idea, which was only meant to serve as an explanation to how we got here, and trying to make it into a important piece in the story. The whole "starchild" lore was supposed to be just fluff expanding on our history back on Terra. It would have little to no effect on us here. In the first place, I wrote them like these mysterious beings whose existence even we don't fully understand (I'll explain more about this when I get home in front of my pc) and in trying to make them an active member of the story, we face the problem of trying to explain that very issue. Which I don't have an answer to, as they were made completely disregarding the chuubanite magic system. To not even mention that we now have a walking God among us, even if she's (they are genderless BTW) weak and can't use her powers outside the pod. What's stopping us from just throwing her back in and attempting to use her in the future, and it goes wrong and we blow up the planet? That's why I killed it off in the first place when I first wrote about it. It's great to expand on ideas, but this is really one which should stay just like it was first written. At least, that's my stance.
Idk, I hope that explains my views on the current problem, but as I said, phoneposting and I can't really be bothered to scroll through the entire thread just to catch a detail I might have missed. 3-4 hours before I get home, and then I'll be at my full capacity to cunt post again, so might get another response with more detail, Idk.
