I'm 9 years sober and it's easily one of the best decisions I ever made. Huge respect to people who are smart enough to never even start. Alcohol is a poison which slowly chipping away your essence both physically and mentally until you just a shell of your former self. There are no good endings with alcohol. Eventually you'll hit the bottom without even fully realizing how you got there.
