A little more laid back which is great for the moment to moment, but it does make me wonder about future prospects which is my main concern with most indies I watch compared to ones in a corporation which has a bit more of a predictable direction. I've seen plenty come and go in the 5 years I've been watching Vtubers after all. As for your point about collab pairings, I don't really see comparing any of them directly in terms of "having more to offer" to be accurate or constructive to discussions. Tombstone and Gremreaper are fundamentally different from both each other and more so to Bone Bros given that it's between genmates rather than a senpai/kohai even if the EN branch has less of that sort of senpai/kohai thing going on overall. Bone Bros was more of a friendly rivalry than the doting generational gap of Tombstone and the freaky tumbler camaraderie of GremReaper. That's probably where you're getting the "lipservice" feeling from since a lot of their interactions are them either working together or getting one up on the other both during streams and out which out of context can feel colder than other relationships. I'm not going to claim that they were as close as Gurame or even SameTori, but they definitely have a deep respect for each other that was expressed in the way they worked both together and towards their own goals within Hololive. Unfortunately, despite both of them achieving success, Gura found the barriers of Japanese bureaucracy to be too much of an obstacle for her (which is honestly a fair assessment given how things like Full Color's non release was handled) when she can achieve similar success elsewhere. I don't really agree with your last statement since, while she did want her own space to do things how she wanted, both her first and final originals as Gura showed how much she was willing to push boundaries in the idol space and I am sure that she has plans to pursue at least some of those as Saba. We'll have to see what the future holds for her so, like Mori, I wish her the best for her future plans.
tldr; Bonebros never faltered, people's attitude toward their normal interactions changed
