Since Vox always describes Kindred as an amorphous, ever-shifting mass of souls, I thought it'd be interesting for it to be a case of a god's faith influencing their people. Maybe for merpeople, it allows them to change to more "human" forms for limited periods of time, allowing them to temporarily traverse land? Didn't Vox confirm the merman actually grew legs and escaped after killing the viewer?
