She's not exactly metagaming this, in fact I'd say that a lot of the time, she's actively trying to encourage people who aren't okay with the way she does things to just leave and find someone else they actually enjoy. She doesn't want an audience of people that feel "obligated" to stick around, if you're not having fun there're plenty of other Vtubers out there including Selen.
