Player 3 is playing Super Metroid.
In P1's OoT, the Kokiri Sword chest might contain an item for OoT OR an item for P2 or P3 such as P2's Double Jump or P3's Morph Ball.
P2 could go to pick up a nail upgrade item but it might turn out to be another item entirely.
It's a neat lil system and I wouldn't mind watching some streams of this.
