It's funny that if they had just made it a one minute part of the stream and simply announced that 1. they'd be really busy for a bit soon due to off-stream holo work and 2. golden week would be special and full of jp content, collabs and streams then we'd only see at most 15% of all the menhera and shitposting we see now.
So that's on them in a way. They just had to make it all sound so much worse.
