I think that the main issue with Kson joining Vshojo is that if even someone like her didn't get any benefit as an indie, she just proved there is no hope as an indie and that all indies should just try to grind to join a major corporation
It's true that Vshojo gives their members more "freedom", tho we can all agree that the biggest benefit from joining Vshojo and the reason why she did it isn't "freedom" but being able to keep your model and getting some corpo support
The problem with this is that Vshojo only hires already established top tier indies, so it isn't a move in order to "give all the Vtubers the freedom they want"
Regarding this, Hololive and Nijisanji are way better, they give hope to the indies: all you have to do is work as much as you can, become a 2/3views and you could have the chance to join and your success is guaranteed
Now comes the main problem: Vtubers joining don't own their models but this is only logical since the corporations provide the model, they also operate with a lot of other sponsorship companies so they need to have control over, they coordinate all their members to do things together, all the units and things they do... If people joining could keep the model after leaving, everybody would just join and bail out after their first contract ends. The other option would be letting Vtubers join with their models, but this still have most of the problems brought up before + an already known Vtuber joining a corporation doesn't have the same impact as a new one debuting (e.g Kson herself)
What Kson says she wants would be nice in an ideal world, but it is delusional at best like saying "if only we had a world where everybody were rich, nobody had to work and crime didn't exist" and she's the biggest proof that this is impossible, so I think for the time being and at least for a long time, the best option is try to grind and get accepted by one of the big two
