So I would advise against changing the climate from what it is, and instead keeping in on the biome level, hell, specbio some plants if you want to. The one unwritten rule we kinda decided on a bit ago was that climate would not be messed around with much if at all preventable. I know you weren't there for that, so just letting you know now.
For example, my original plan for /rrat/ would see the valleys being very biodiverse in terms of plant species and us being able to grow plants that usually wouldn't grow there, but I would still keep the tundra climate that area has. I would just place insane amounts of chuubanite in the ground, which would warm it up to the point where valleys could support more plant species, helped further along with specbio for each of them to further allow them to prosper in the colder climate.
