I think there's an irony in being so selfless that you insist that no one is allowed to grieve for you, to the point where you're intentionally vague and misleading with what's going on surrounding your final moments to the point where even your closest friends don't even know the full extent of what's going to happen. Ame's biggest fault is that she has this martyr complex where she feels like not only does she never deserve to be happy, but also thinks that no one actually cares about her and it's all performative.
