Anyone who joined them borderline lost control of their own channel and it was a huge uphill battle to even leave your contract along with a huge chunk of their AD revenue, let alone try to grow it after since Machinima had a reputation for copyright striking people left and right who left them. They also had massive influence with youtube and gaming companies, being a big part in alot of the policy changes YT has had along with helping game companies figure out how to take down modders/reviewers/etc.
For all the bullshit we've seen vtuber corpos pull, not a single one even comes close to the damage Machinima has done.
