These aren't what people mean when they refer to the "vtuber" hobby.
Nobody cares about these 2 here because of that, just like nobody here cares about """vtubers""" like Eristocracy or Flamenco, despite their sizable audiences.
"Vtuber" is like the term "RPG". Not every game where you 'Play a Role' is an RPG, and not every Youtuber with an avatar is a vtuber. And just like 'RPG' used to refer to tabletops, but now are for videogames (With tabletops being reserved to the term t(t)rpgs), it doesn't matter who coined the term.
In reality, "Vtuber" as it is used here simply refers to 'Elaine, Hololive, Nijisanji and their various offshoots', all of which absolutely started out as hobbies.
