It's a bad a daptation not only because it cut a lot of shit, but because the director explicitly said he didn't want to make anime and explicitly made the adapation more "dark and mature xdxd" and cut the absurd dark comedy atmosphere it was supposed to have.
Even the voice actors said the director asked them to do their dialogues with less emotions behind them.
