I see the AI accusation fly around but nothing i can see in the models themselves, they look just as ugly and simplistic as pokemon characters to me at a glance. I saw someone on discord say the devs talked about AI or something like that though. But since i don't hold pokemon designs in high regard, the complains sound petty to me. A lot of pokemon designs look like they have been picked from some NFT randomizer anyway.
