>>28275584For doodles, I like to draw inspiration from those collages/promos where "x famous manga author draws other characters in his style" sorts of things, and general early cartoon/anime aesthetics (especially stuff like Osamu Tezuka, Leiji Matsumodo, etc) and stick with a distinctive personal style. For full on art, though, I like to try and synthesize the original artstyle as much as possible with my own. I'm guessing most people do the opposite, though.
